Position: Civil Design Engineer

Location: Sydney CBD
- Amazing three month contract for an experienced Civil Designer
- Full time hours
- Immediate start for the right candidate
Primary Purpose:
- Development of civil designs in AutoCAD, including pedestrian, bicycle and traffic engineering solutions
- Provide civil, landscape, cycling and traffic management advice, design, reporting and consolation on our Client’s projects
Key Accountabilities:
- To deliver specific design projects and investigations to meet our client’s objectives and timeframes
- Ensure projects are completed to program, within budget, and complying with best practice, best value and quality assurance
- Investigate pedestrian, bicycle and traffic engineering issues and produce innovative design solutions to optimise conditions for, pedestrians and cyclists while maintaining access for moving traffic and parked motor vehicles on roadways
- Provides advice on the cycle network implications of new and major development applications and master plans, construction traffic management plans, temporary road closures and street events
- Identify and develop proposals to improve cycling safety and amenity
Essential Requirements
- Qualifications at degree level in a relevant field such as Civil Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in civil, cycling, traffic and/or landscape
- Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D
- Experience in traffic management and thorough understanding of parking and traffic management legislation
- Able to plan, lead, organize and control
- Accuracy and attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines while balancing competing demands
- Self starter with high levels of motivation, initiative discipline and personal accountability
- Ability to identify outcomes and mediate disputes
