The Information Services Coordinator is responsible for ensuring our Clients’ Information Communication Technology enables business achievements and facilitates the delivery of all their services.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the client’s Information Services Infrastructure including Geographical Information Systems and the coordination of technology usage
  • Provide high level customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop the organisation’s long-term IT strategy aligned with the operational plan and business unit objectives
  • Business analysis of systems and processes seeking business improvement through innovative, efficient and cost effective solutions
  • Develop a path in the use of technology to achieve strategic objectives and ensure the client is using best practice where cost benefits allow
  • Provide reporting on service levels, availability, web usage and staff compliance to management
  • Establish short and long term budgets for IT
  • Review contractual arrangements to ensure the client is receiving all entitlements under contract agreement
  • Ensure the effective functioning of all IT systems applications and database
  • Ensure maximum efficiency in the application of all existing and new ICT systems; provide help desk and troubleshooting services as required

Essential Requirements

  • A degree in an IT-related subject with minimum two years’ experience in an Information Technology Management position
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and techniques associated with IT
  • Demonstrated skills and experiences in the competent management and delivery of Information Technology to a multi-user environment
  • Experience in project management with demonstrated strong organisational skills
  • Experience in managing a team and the capacity to motivate and lead staff
  • Advanced level of interpersonal skills
  • Class C Drivers Licence
  • Experience in GIS is desirable
